  • 2 people sign up as a team. They don't need to be a "couple". In fact, most teams are friends or family members.
  • 1 person may also sign up as an individual if they prefer.
  • The team is put into one of the event divisions. There are many divisions, all listed on the website.
  • Each person completes the event as an individual. The wave starts will be based on the event divisions.
  • After the event is completed, the awards will be determined based on the division and the combined age of the team. Awards will also be given to individual competitors based on age groups.
  • Official results will be available by overall place, team place, and by age group. Results will be sent to USAT using the official age group categories for USAT rankings.

Jack's Generic Triathlon

Sunday, August 5th, 2012

500m Swim / 13.8 mile Bike / 3 mile Run

Texas Ski Ranch, New Braunfels, TX

A great triathlon event that is short enough for the beginner, and still challenging enough for the experienced athletes to 'light it up'. Held at the Texas Ski Ranch, this is an event you definitely don't want to miss. Jack's Generic Tri, is, well, it's Generic. Created as a return to the events of old, when everything was all about the participants. Jack's is one of the best well run, safest, and most fun triathlon events you will ever do.

The 'relatively short' swim is held in the Texas Ski Ranch cable lake, free from any boats. The bike and run are held on back country central Texas roads with little to no traffic. The post race party is one of the best in the business. A free Texas Ski Ranch cookout, with beer, treats, and ice cream.
