Events
Sprint Distance: 300m Swim, 11.2 mile Bike, 2 mile Run.
Divisions
Age Group
The minimum age to participate in this event is 10. The swim and bike portions of a triathlon can be very physically demanding. The bike course and run course are held on roads that are open to vehicle traffic. We strongly encourage parents to become familiar with the course before submitting an entry for a child under the age of 14.
Open
The Open division is available to any participant in the event. The open wave will be the first to start. Participants are encouraged to enter this wave if they expect to be in the top 50 finishers, but anyone is welcome. Participants in the open wave will not be eligible for age group awards or USAT rankings. There will be awards and/or prizes to the top 10 male and female participants in the open division. The open division exists so that the age group waves are more friendly, and so that participants who are interested in competing head to head, regardless of age, may do so.

Don T. Bonk
 |
Don T. Bonk patrols the last part of the run course. He calls this area the Don T. Bonk Zone. To finish the triathlon you will need to pass through his zone. We know it’s not easy to keep running at the end of a race, when you must pass through the Don T. Bonk zone. So we are going to help you out. Run all the way through the Don T. Bonk zone, and he’ll give you a treat after the race.. You must run. No walking! |
